Background

About the ship

In order to meet the restrictions on the total displacement of light cruisers imposed by the London Naval Treaty, these ships were planned to be built according to a reduced and lighter design. One of the proposed options was a ship with a displacement of 8,000 tons, equipped with four twin-gun turrets.
