WoWS 2026 Holiday Convoy: ships and resources
Free Tokens, Doubloons, rare ships and a sensible resource-conversion strategy.
Holiday Convoy guide →60,000 Tokens, more reliable 380 mm guns, manually controlled secondaries and a +15% Engine Boost: what Bismarck ’41 actually changes and how to get it without gutting your resources.

Bismarck ’41 is a German Tier VIII Premium battleship available for 60,000 Holiday Convoy Tokens. It trades the standard Bismarck’s rate of fire and Hydro for more reliable main guns, much stronger manually controlled secondaries and a +15% Engine Boost. At this price it is one of the most accessible ships in the Convoy, especially if you earn the free Tokens first.
Bismarck ’41 is part of the 2026 Holiday Convoy. Its bundle costs 60,000 Holiday Convoy Tokens and includes the ship, a 10-skill-point Commander, one Port slot and the Butterfly Kaleidoscope enemy destruction effect.

The trap is reading it as “Premium Bismarck.” The rhythm is meaningfully different. Bismarck ’41 keeps the familiar hull, eight 380 mm guns and German close-range DNA, but its tools move the sweet spot.
Bismarck ’41 carries 4 × 2 380 mm guns with 21.21 km range, a 33-second reload and 2.0 sigma. AP shells keep 11,600 maximum damage, while HE deals 4,400 with a 34% fire chance.
The important change is not ammunition; it is consistency. Standard Bismarck reloads in 26 seconds with 1.8 sigma. The ’41 shoots far less often, but rewards clean windows more reliably: a broadside cruiser, a battleship that has just fired, or a target committed to a turn.
In automatic mode the secondary battery has 7.6 km base range. Under manual control, maximum range rises to 8.9 km and secondary reload time is reduced by 40%. This is the mechanic that gives Bismarck ’41 its real identity.
The battery combines eight twin 105 mm mounts and six twin 150 mm mounts. The 105s penetrate 26 mm of armor with HE; the 150s reach 38 mm. The site’s recommended build therefore leans into range, manual secondary performance and survivability.
But “secondary ship” does not mean “press W at spawn.” The useful range is where your secondaries are already working while you still have enough room to angle, break contact and react to torpedo threats.
The ship makes 31 knots base and gets a +15% Engine Boost lasting 180 seconds, with three charges and a 90-second reload. In raw terms that pushes maximum speed to roughly 35.7 knots before other modifiers.
That is enormous for a Bismarck hull. You can join a flank, close distance quickly or escape a collapsing side. But that mobility replaces standard Bismarck’s Hydroacoustic Search, and the trade matters.
The current WoWS Guides build is clearly focused on secondaries + survivability. It includes Long-Range Secondary Battery Shells, Manual Secondary Battery Aiming, Concealment Expert, Fire Prevention Expert, Adrenaline Rush and IFHE.
The upgrades follow the same logic: auxiliary-armament reliability, Engine Boost improvement, secondary battery performance, propulsion and concealment. This is not a sniper build in disguise. Its job is to get you into the right combat band and keep you there long enough for the secondaries to matter.
| Bismarck | Bismarck ’41 | |
|---|---|---|
| Main-battery reload | 26 s | 33 s |
| Sigma | 1.8 | 2.0 |
| Utility tool | Hydroacoustic Search | +15% Engine Boost |
| Secondaries | Very good | Enhanced manual control |
| Torpedoes | No | No |
| Style | Safer push support | Mobility, accuracy and range control |
Standard Bismarck is more forgiving around contested areas because Hydro gives you information and the guns cycle faster. Bismarck ’41 gives you better tools to choose when to enter the dangerous range, but asks for more anticipation once you are there.

At 60,000 Tokens, Bismarck ’41 is the cheapest ship in the Convoy’s initial pool. Rare Tier IX ships such as Messina and Yimeng cost 84,000, while a Rare Tier X costs 140,000.
If you can obtain it mainly through daily missions, the case is strong: a Tier VIII Premium, genuinely different gameplay from tech-tree Bismarck, and a low enough price to leave Tokens for other rewards.
If you need to convert almost the full 200,000 Coal to get it, the answer becomes less automatic. At that point, compare Bismarck ’41 with the ships that Coal can buy directly in the Armory and with your other Convoy targets.
New accounts and eligible returning players can claim rewards through the referral program. Check the conditions before you queue your next battles.
