Incheon is going black for Black Friday 2026. Eight rapid-firing 203 mm guns, destroyer dispersion, smoke and deepwater torpedoes: here is what matters before Incheon B arrives.

Incheon B is announced as a new Pan-Asian Tier X cruiser for Black Friday 2026. No combat-performance difference from the standard Incheon has been announced. The gameplay baseline therefore remains Incheon’s: 4×2 203 mm guns, 5.5 s reload, destroyer dispersion, 2.05 sigma, smoke, improved AP angles and 13.5 km deepwater torpedoes.
Incheon is not the simplest Tier X cruiser to pick up. Its range is short, its shell arcs demand lead at distance, and smoke does not magically replace Radar or Hydro. In return, it combines several tools that are deeply unpleasant to fight: unusually fast 203 mm reload, destroyer-grade dispersion, improved AP and the ability to create its own firing windows with a Smoke Generator.
Black Friday 2026 now adds a black version, Incheon B. For captains who never obtained the original ship, that new availability is the most important part of the announcement.
In Update 15.9 test information, Incheon B is one of four new Black Friday 2026 ships alongside Victoria B, Hornet B and Flandre B. The event is scheduled to begin during the final week of Update 15.9.

The new 2026 Black Friday ships are also set to introduce an Enemy Destruction Counter on their camouflage, tracking kills up to 99,999. A cosmetic gimmick, certainly, but at least this one counts something other than Doubloons leaving the account.
So far, no combat-performance difference has been announced between Incheon B and Incheon. Wargaming presents Incheon B as the Black Friday version of the existing ship, so the visible changes are the black camouflage and the new destruction counter.
For gameplay, use the current Incheon as the technical reference. The Incheon ship profile, ship comparison tool and Build Lab all provide the baseline you need for the B version.
| Characteristic | Base value | What it means |
|---|---|---|
| Hit points | 48,600 | Reasonable cruiser durability, not permission to trade for free |
| Main battery | 4×2 203 mm | Only eight barrels, offset by reload and accuracy |
| Range | 16.1 km | Short for Tier X, making positioning critical |
| Reload | 5.5 s | About 87.3 shells/minute from the full battery |
| Sigma | 2.05 | Very consistent salvos |
| Maximum dispersion | 135 m displayed | Standard destroyer dispersion formula |
| Top speed | 33 knots | Adequate mobility, but not a fast kiting cruiser |
| Turning circle | 800 m | Wide enough that turns need planning |
| Rudder shift | 8.3 s | Reasonable once committed to a maneuver |
| Sea detection | 13.8 km base | Concealment matters for choosing engagements |
| Smoke firing penalty | 8.5 km | A nearby enemy can negate your smoke protection |
Incheon carries eight 203 mm guns. Eight barrels do not sound exceptional at Tier X until the 5.5-second base reload enters the equation, giving roughly 10.9 rounds per minute per gun.
Across the whole battery, that is about 87.3 shells per minute. More importantly, Incheon uses the standard destroyer dispersion formula: 7.5 × range (km) + 15, backed by 2.05 sigma. The theoretical horizontal spread is roughly 52 m at 5 km, 90 m at 10 km and 128 m at 15 km.
This makes Incheon more than a volume-of-fire cruiser. It can deliberately work superstructures with HE and exploit cruiser broadsides with AP rather than simply hoping enough shells land somewhere useful.
| HE | AP | |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum damage | 2,800 | 5,000 |
| Muzzle velocity | 823 m/s | 762 m/s |
| Shell mass | 118 kg | 152 kg |
| Penetration / arming | 34 mm | 34 mm arming threshold |
| Fire chance | 14% | — |
| Fuse time | — | 0.022 s |
| Ricochet angles | — | 60° / 67.5° |
With 2,800 HE damage and a 14% fire chance, base HE DPM is roughly 244,364. The 34 mm penetration is especially useful against common cruiser and battleship plating.
AP becomes even more important whenever an angle opens. It gets improved ricochet behavior, starting at 60° with guaranteed ricochet at 67.5°. Theoretical base AP DPM is about 436,364. Continuing to spam HE into a cruiser broadside therefore means voluntarily leaving a major part of the ship’s damage potential unused.
The Slot 6 upgrade cuts reload by 12%, so 5.5 × 0.88 = 4.84 seconds. Raw DPM rises to roughly 277,700 HE and 495,900 AP before Adrenaline Rush.
Incheon carries a Smoke Generator with three base charges, 30 seconds of emission time and a 110-second cooldown. This is what lets the cruiser sustain fire without remaining permanently exposed.
The catch is the 8.5 km smoke firing penalty. If an enemy ship gets inside that radius while you fire, the smoke no longer protects you. Incheon also currently lacks both Hydroacoustic Search and Surveillance Radar, so parking next to a cap and assuming the cloud will solve everything is an excellent way to discover torpedoes through direct physical experimentation.
Incheon carries 2×4 deepwater torpedoes. They can only hit cruisers, battleships and aircraft carriers, but gain 13.5 km range and just 0.8 km detectability.
| Characteristic | Value |
|---|---|
| Layout | 2×4 533 mm |
| Range | 13.5 km |
| Speed | 69 knots |
| Maximum damage | 17,900 |
| Detectability | 0.8 km |
| Reload | 95 s |
| Torpedo Reload Booster | Available |
They do not turn Incheon into a torpedo cruiser. Their value is area denial: closing a lane, discouraging a battleship push and adding a second threat while the main battery keeps firing. Torpedo Reload Booster can prepare another spread quickly when the timing matters.
WoWS Guides already has a 21-point Incheon build in its build database. Unless Incheon B receives an unexpected combat change before release, the same build is the natural baseline for both versions.

Gun Feeder → Demolition Expert → Superintendent → Concealment Expert → Adrenaline Rush → Survivability Expert → Grease the Gears → Top Grade Gunner.
Superintendent adds an extra charge to the relevant consumables, Concealment Expert helps rotations, and Adrenaline Rush makes an already silly reload even faster as HP falls. Apparently damaged machinery becoming more productive remains a recognized branch of naval engineering in this particular universe.
Incheon works best as a mid-range support cruiser. Its 16.1 km range forces it to participate, while concealment and smoke let it choose when to expose itself.
Avoid entering caps first. Without Radar or Hydro, Incheon relies heavily on information from allies. A better starting position is slightly behind your destroyer and cruiser screen, with a safe smoke location and an exit route already planned.
HE is the reliable choice into angled ships. The moment a cruiser or battleship gives enough side, improved AP becomes far more valuable. With more than 436,000 raw base AP DPM, a few seconds of poor angling can be brutally expensive.
48,600 HP and Repair Party give Incheon more staying power than many smoke farmers. That still does not make it a brawler: 25 mm extremities and the lack of Hydro remain serious limitations. A surviving Incheon with smoke available in the late game, however, is extremely difficult to remove efficiently.
If you do not own Incheon, Incheon B is one of the more interesting Black Friday 2026 announcements simply because it may provide direct access to a rare Tier X with a very distinct playstyle. The actual value of the offer will depend on the final direct price, which has not been announced.
If you already own Incheon, no power increase has been announced. The reasons to add the B version would therefore be the Black Friday camouflage, destruction counter, collection value, and any event missions or bonuses tied to the ship.
It is announced for Black Friday 2026, scheduled to begin during the final week of Update 15.9. These details remain Work in Progress.
No combat difference has been announced. Incheon B is presented as the Black Friday version of Incheon.
